What is it?
Electronic patient orders for clinical tests and procedures that replace handwritten orders that can be difficult to read, misinterpreted or lost.
Why do I want it?
Replacing hand-written diagnostic testing orders with electronic patient orders is easy to do and offers substantial benefits to patients, physicians and hospitals. No special equipment is required—a standard business office computer with Internet access is all that is needed.
How does it work?
Instead of handwriting a paper order, the physician (or authorized physician assistant) navigates to the patient's electronic record in HealthNautica and selects the appropriate test or process. Each eOrder can include physician remarks and special instructions associated with a test. They can also be scrubbed for Medical Necessity and used for all payers. eOrders are sent only to the designated hospital and are available in real-time to authorized hospital staff via our eCare® Online portal.
Electronic patient orders cannot be tampered with or misplaced. Patients get the correct test, physicians can verify the test was performed and hospitals get the job done right the first time.

eOrders is hosted by HealthNautica's Practice Management system.
