Combined Software Offering to Improve Claims Management Workflow
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. and SAN DIEGO – Benchmark Revenue Management, a San Diego-based leader in health care administration technology, announced that it has signed a two-year partnership agreement with Nebo Systems, a division of Passport Health Communications Inc. The partnership combines Nebo’s eCare® Claims Management System bill editor and back-end clearinghouse with Benchmark’s advanced workflow and reporting technology. The combined solution will be marketed as eCare® Resolution Manager.
Benchmark’s “next-in-queue” technology uniquely sorts claim denials and bill edits, ensuring maximum performance improvement in discharged-not-final-billed accounts, denial recovery and sustaining net revenue levels. Integrated reporting functions present clear areas of opportunity for future denial avoidance.
By combining the Benchmark system with Nebo’s eCare® Claims Management System billing platform, the two companies have created automated software that performs bill edits and denial resolution activities that typically require multiple hospital departments and personnel.
“Resolution Manager acts essentially as the name implies – a manager that prioritizes assignments and directs the workflow. The result is increased back office efficiency without additional staff, and quicker payment on claims that might otherwise be stalled in A/R,” said Nebo Systems Senior Vice President Marcus Padgett.
The eCare® Resolution Manager is available in standard and enterprise editions. The standard edition routes all data that comes through Nebo’s other claims management software solutions, therefore requiring little or no IT. The enterprise version integrates with a hospital’s patient accounting system to route denials from any source, including manually entered Explanation of Benefit statements.
